Hello and thanks for stopping by the home of John Petruska's Reel Time Guide Service on Lake Vermilion in Minnesota...
Lake Vermilion is approximately 40,000 acres, 1,200 miles of shoreline and 365 islands make Lake Vermilion Minnesota a fisherman's paradise. Long renowned for walleye, bass, northern and pan fish, and offering trophy potential in each species, Lake Vermilion is also recognized as Minnesota's new, untapped muskie fishing resource and is ranked as one of the top ten lakes in Minnesota.
Many people enjoy Lake Vermilion Minnesota for the challenge that it offers. Known for being an angler’s body of water you will find it does not yield up its bounty with ease. Most people do not go home empty handed but wonder why they did not cash-in on the numbers of fish they had dreamt about. That is where Reel Time Choice Guide Service can help.
John Petruska guides exclusively on Lake Vermilion in upper Minnesota. Growing up in Northern Minnesota has been an advantage for an avid outdoorsman like John. He grew up fishing with his dad. Now I enjoy sharing my passion with my two boys and my guiding clients. John shares his enthusiasm for musky fishing. He spends many hours on Lake Vermilion searching and catching those giant fish named MUSKIE.
As the years have gone by, he has found that fishing is a passion he enjoys sharing with others. That is why he started this business (Reel Time Guiding). He want others to experience the thrill of catching a trophy fish like the musky. There is nothing more exciting than when one hits your bait.
With over 25 years experience we can help you locate and learn how to target the fish of your choice. Specializing in muskie and walleye, we also guide secondarily for northern pike, largemouth and smallmouth bass and other species. John fishes the Lake Vermilion Musky Challenge and the Vermilion Walleye Classic and he has finished 10th and 12th the last 2 years.
John guides during open water and hard water seasons, offering half-day and full-day trips. All equipment and bait is provided, just bring your food and beverages. Pick-up can be at any public access or resort. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or comments.
